Fated Red String Kites
Specific Location: Vendor Purchase
Availability: Open to All
Available from a vendor in Hiromitsu. A variety of colored kites. All of them use a red string though, inhabitants can note, and seem prone to tying people up together. This seems especially true of people who maybe have interest in one another but haven't been brave enough to talk about it. Or maybe they just need to talk in general.
Either way, the line won't untangle without a little bit of good ol' fashioned healthy communication. If you want to make-out first though just to be sure, well, the vendor isn't going to judge any.

Memorial Candles
Specific Location: Shorelines
Availability: Open to All
Being spirits themselves, yokai have a strong connection to the dead. Many cultures have a custom for their deceased. Here in Hiromitsu, during the summer, native yokai take to the foggy shores of the sea in the dead of night and set out small boats with candles in the shallows.
This is to call 'home' the specters of people they know who have passed. Since this is reality, it will work for everyone who wants to participate. No matter how many worlds apart, if that person still holds a place in your heart- You may be able to see them tonight once again for a little while.
Of course, there is no telling who will be called by the candle. It could be the last person you actually want to see floating above the lighted boat. If you don't like your results, you're free to try again another night as many times as you'd like!
The specters will also only be as you remember them. They can talk to you but be limited to what they knew while alive and your own memories of them. That may be a good or a bad thing depending on your perspective. Either way, it is hopefully a comfort to you and able to provide some closure as is intended by the people of Hiromitsu.

FLORA
★ Amani will be, at first, populated by mainly edible flora for characters to have the necessary sustenance to start out with. The Peacekeeper will generate common, basic species that many people should be familiar with even if they call it by a different name.
★ With time, characters' influence may cause plants from home to grow. All we ask is that players take into consideration the biome that the plant is native to and if it would fit the current ones (grassland, forest, and aquatic) available. Not to worry though! There will be more biomes 'unlocked' eventually.

Changelings
Population: Rare
Biome: Forest
Danger: Mild, potentially deadly. Edible!
A type of mushroom that typically grows in rings formations formally called 'fairy rings'. It's spores are able to physically alter both living and non-living things. Changes usually aren't immediate after stepping through a ring. Instead characters may start to feel frisky after a couple hours, but not to any concerning or unusual degree. These symptoms are temporary and will go away after night of rest. Upon waking, the person will have been transformed.
Transformations are to closely-similar things: Humans to elves, animals to other animals, etc. Inanimate objects placed into a fairy ring will transform instantly. In Amani, the longer you are transformed the more characters will find themselves with a slowly building insatiable lust. Eventually leading to a loss of self and mushrooms growing from their bodies. Death is sure to follow.
To reverse the transformation, usually all you need to do is wash the spores off and wait, but here there is the additional requirement: intimacy.
The mushrooms themselves are edible and delicious when cooked with no transformative effects.

Population: Rare
Biome: Forest
Danger: ???
The life tree is the only one of its kind in Amani. While The Peacekeeper claims it is just an ordinary tree with a rare spawn rate, there is something undeniably suspicious about it. Its leaves glow and hum with energy. The fruit it bears can cure anything that ails an individual.
However, any harm done to this tree will afflict the offending person severely. They will grow ill and begin to corrupt until death claims them and they are re-configured by The Peacekeeper. Even then, something will be not quite right even if subtle.

★ The animals that populate Amani in the beginning are meant for both food and domestication. Sometimes both! They are, like the flora, common and basic species. Well, most of them.
★ With time, characters' influence may cause species from home to begin to appear. These can be wild or domestic animals. All we ask for this is that players keep it reasonable. There suddenly won't be a whole herd of elephants or anything! Instead, more will generate with time until reaching a natural, sustainable population.
Population: Common
Biome: Grassland/Forest
Danger: High
Although these cute and cuddly creatures may appear unassuming, they are actually quite deadly. The edges of their wings are sharp as razors and they are able to breath fire. As natural prey to the Giant Birds in the simulation, they were developed with means to protect themselves in mind.

Birds
Population: Common
Biome: Any
Danger: Low
Similar to the critters found throughout Amani, there are a variety of common avian species that occupy the land. Although physically no different, they all have the same quirk of not flying in the typical V-shape when migrating in large flocks. Instead, they form a circular pattern in the sky wherever they fly in large groups.

Giant Bird
Population: Rare
Biome: Any
Danger: Extreme
This massive bird has grown to an unnatural size through the absorption of magic. They are fast creatures but have low defense and resistance, Bows seem to be most effective if magic is not available.

Living Dandelions
Population: Common
Biome: Any
Danger: Low
While they appear to be nothing but regular dandelion tufts, get too close and a pair of bright yellow eyes opens to stare at you. The creature will let out the tiniest of shrieks, break apart into smaller pieces, and scatter. It will also release a pollen that relaxes an individual as a defense mechanism.

Thunderwyrms
Population: Rare
Biome: Any Non-Aquatic
Danger: Extreme
Massive monstrous solitary worms that sleep and travel deep underground, thunderwyrms literally eat through the earth and are only drawn to the surface during storms. When they erupt from the earth, they are capable of massive destruction and then vanish without a trace. A thunderwyrm then spends its time underground digesting everything it devoured and increasing its size.

Chocobos
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Grassland/Forest
Danger: Mild
A breed of flightless birds, characterized by their yellow feathers, distinct odor, and the unforgettable chirp, "kweh!" Domesticated for their gentle nature and quick feet, they are often used as a mode of ground transportation.

Flavored Cows
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Grasslands
Danger: None
Once in a while, small herds of cows may cross your path. They come in three colors that signify their flavors of milk: pink (strawberry), brown (chocolate), or white (classic). If a cow has a mix of colors, then be prepared to be surprised with what milk you may get from them! The white variety do appear to be the most common, at least.

Garula
Population: Common
Biome: Grassland
Danger: Mild
Large quadrupedal mammal that forms herds around a matriarch. Gentle by nature, the Garula only attacks when provoked. At nearly 16' tall these lumbering giants are not particularly fast but are still dangerous enough that they are not domesticated in their homeland of Eos. They do, however, make for great eating.

Rainbow Sheep
Population: Common
Biome: Grasslands, Forest
Danger: None
Wildflowers aren't the only thing colorful dotting the landscape of Amani's grasslands. Herds of rainbow-colored sheep can be seen moving in flocks. Although these animals are easy to spook and difficult to catch, they are a good source of whatever color wool you may desire for your new home.

White-tailed Deer(?)
Population: Unommon
Biome: Grasslands, Forest
Danger: Medium
Once in a while, deer can be seen galloping across the grasslands or through the trees of the forest. While the does and fawns are normal-looking enough, the bucks have strangely formed antlers. They come in odd arrays from corkscrews to just too many points. In the dark of night, some might even be mistaken for the shape of a face staring at you in the dim lighting.
When startled, the males tend to be aggressive rather skittish like regular deer and may attempt to gore an individual with its antlers.

Wild Horses
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Grasslands
Danger: Low
Until you get your mount from home back, why not tame a horse or two? These beautiful steeds will help you get from point A to point B a lot easier than walking, at least. Just be careful of those hooves. They certainly hurt when a kick is aimed your way.

Wyverns
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Aquatic, Grasslands
Danger: High alone, Extreme in groups
Wyverns are a feral, bipedal lesser cousin to dragonkind. Proud, stubborn, fierce, and intelligent, wyverns are known to be extremely protective--of their territory, members of their social group, and their masters. Highly social and cooperative predators, they nest in the cliffs of Taasunni Beach, and can range far into the Aditus Grasslands to hunt. While most wyverns hunt using sharp talons and fangs or strong tails, a rare few show an innate capacity for magic, capable of churning up cutting winds with their wings or breathing fire or lightning.
Those courageous enough to attempt to tame one will find that they are highly perceptive and willful creatures, slow to trust and disinclined to obey any but the most confident and strong of heart. Should anyone successfully earn their respect, however, they can become intensely devoted companions and mounts. Raising a wyvern from an egg is easier in theory, but no less dangerous in practice; braving the sheer cliffs to raid a nest is a sure way to earn their collective ire, and discover just how powerful and robust they are.

Pegasi
Population: Rare
Biome: Forest
Danger: None
These winged horses tend to gather near natural springs deep in the forest. They are easy to startle and difficult to domesticate. Time and patience are your friends when interacting with these creatures. However, once their trust is gained, you will not want for a more loyal steed.

Spriggan
Population: Semi-Rare
Biome: Forest
Danger: High, if provoked
Female nature spirits made up of wood and magical energy; left to their own devices, they're peaceful creatures that spend their days caring for the groves they've claimed. Wary and distrustful of humans, they view any who stumble into their groves as intruders and won't hesitate to attack. In battle, they are capable of turning invisible, summoning nearby animals for aid, rapidly healing themselves, and inflicting poison damage by conjured bees or claw attacks.

Unicorn
Population: Rare
Biome: Forest
Danger: Conditional
A rare creature with the head and body of a white horse, lion's tail, and cloven hooves; known for their shy disposition and the powerful magic imbued in their horn. A unicorn can be coaxed to allow a rider, but is difficult to truly tame and will bolt back into the forest given the chance.
Ordinarily no more aggressive than any other horse, they will react with extreme negativity to any weapons drawn in their presence. When a unicorn is provoked, no mortal or even dragon can move quickly enough to land a blow and they cannot be burned or touched by any magic or elemental power. Their hooves are deadly and a single touch of its horn will kill any enemy, although the horn itself will burn away. The most powerful can regenerate it within moments, however.

Tasuuni Beach
Heart Jellies
Population: Common
Biome: Aquatic
Danger: Medium
In the waters of Taasunni swim a strange species of jellyfish shaped like hearts. If stung by one of these creatures, the sensation will be pleasant rather than painful. It lingers for a few minutes afterwards and will feel like a low-level electric current running through your body that makes it all tingly and warm.

Mermaids
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Aquatic
Danger: High
Near the coral reef in the ocean's shallows, there often swims a mermaid or two. They have the instinct to drown anyone that endangers the reef but prove you mean no harm and they'll leave you be. Unless you venture into the waters at night.
During the darkest hours, a separate species of mermaid swims dangerously around the reef. Although it looks like a beautiful maiden from above the waves, below her tail opens up to have a giant maw that catches fish to eat. You would be quite the treat!

Netches
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Coastal
Danger: Conditional
Netch or Netches are peaceful jellyfish-like creatures that are often domesticated and raised for their meat, leather, and jelly. They are supported by internal sacs of magical vapors to stay afloat and move. The female, or "betty," netch is smaller and somewhat more aggressive than the male, or "bull." If provoked they can be deadly opponents, as their flesh is poisonous and their tentacles contain nematocysts filled with venom. So powerful are these nematocysts that they can still be felt as a throb on the skin in leather made months after the creature's death.

Orthrus Octopus
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Aquatic
Danger: High
These octopi appear to be a vibrant purple beneath the water but fade to a mottled grey when brought up from the deeps. They are different from other octopi as they have a large mouth with teeth to rival any shark on the front of their bodies instead of the traditional beak. Ambush hunters, they tuck themselves into small crevices in rocky areas underwater, allowing the frills on either side of their heads to drift out, giving the illusion of seaweed before snatching up any fish foolish enough to seek refuge. Their ink is toxic and they can grow to sizes easily able to prevent divers from making it to the surface. Even their bodies should only be handled by those with experience as preparing the meat incorrectly could contaminate any dish containing orthrus.

Dymuniad Mines
Daggerquill
Population: Rare
Biome: Rocky mountainous areas
Danger: Mild alone. Dangerous in flocks.
Brightly colored bird boasting extremely tough tail feathers. Its pretty plumage is a familiar sight to the folks of it's homeland, Eos, who hunt the bird for sport. Daggerquill down is often sewn into the lining of coats and blankets for added warmth. Farmers in the region even use daggerquill droppings to rejuvenate infertile soil. It's tail feathers are sharp enough to be used as simple weapons. Attempting to battle these 8' long birds without a form of ranged weaponry is highly discouraged. Even if they are tasty.

Mara
Population: Rare
Biome: Deep in the Dymuniad Mines and Mazare Jungle
Danger: Extreme
Frequently regarded as a living incarnation of evil, temptation, deceit, fear of mortality, and spiritual "death", Mara is a Shadow born of mankind's inclinations towards being seduced by base desires and impure impulses. Fiendishly cunning and immensely powerful, (though incredibly prone to his every word dripping with innuendos) Mara frequently controls his prey through lust, fear, and offering them what they desire most. Those who fall for his manipulation are liable to be at best betrayed and attacked, and at worst possessed outright, as Mara ruins their bodies indulging in every debauched whim available. Attempting to negotiate with Mara is quite dangerous, as the longer you speak with him, the more time he has to ensnare you with his wiles. However, if you can win him over to your side, and have the strength of heart to embrace even this aspect inside you without allowing it to consume and control you? You would be hard-pressed to find a firmer friend or ally, ready to stand tall beside you during even the hardest times.

Miniature Cave Golems
Population: Common
Biome: Dymuniad Mines
Danger: None
Don't be too alarmed if that mossy bundle of rocks starts to move about. Held together and animated by a magic of an unknown origin, these tiny golems 'awaken' when anyone gets close. While golems are usually used for manual labor too large for the average person, it's hard to say what these miniature ones were made for or by who. They are, however, extremely cute and will happily follow or ride along with you through the tunnels.

Rieklings
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Mountains, any with caves or ruins
Danger: Medium
Small, blue-skinned creatures with sharp teeth and pointy ears; they tend to live in small tribes on mountainsides, in caves, or in any convenient abandoned building they can find. They communicate in their own language of hoots and grunts and are known to hoard items such as empty bottles, broken tools, and so on. Aggressive and territorial, they value strength and generally choose the strongest member of the tribe as leader; succession is usually settled by fighting to the death for it, and even a non-Riekling can become Chief if they defeat the previous chief and have the tribe's backing. While not very tough individually, they excel at using their numbers to swarm and overwhelm larger foes.

Rock Slimes
Population: Common
Biome: Dymuniad Mines
Danger: None
If you happen to come across small bites taken out of the Hemimorphite, the source likely isn't far behind. These slimes are immune to the psychedelic effects of the formation but still get the euphoria from it. This results in them making tiny chirps and happy noises that may sound suspiciously like 'woo hoo' or 'yay.' They are friendly and docile but can only survive in the dark, dank conditions of the mines. Trying to remove them is ill-advised.

Zubats
Population: Common
Biome: Dymuniad Mines
Danger: Mild
These creatures make their home in gloomy caves. Atrophied eyes have left this Pokémon blind, so they scan their surroundings via sound waves that they emit from their mouths as they fly. Their skin is so thin that they'll be burned if sunlight hits them. When it gets cold out, they gather together to warm one another's bodies. While they will not attack inhabitants, they may use high-pitched sound waves to confuse and disorient if they feel threatened so they can escape.

Alligators
Population: Uncommon
Biome: Marsh
Danger: High
If you happen to take up residence in the marshes, don't be surprised if an alligator comes knocking on your door. Technically, it was there first! Either way, you'll need to tread carefully through this terrain for that log you're looking at might actually be an alligator waiting to strike.

If you happen to take up residence in the marshes, don't be surprised if an alligator comes knocking on your door. Technically, it was there first! Either way, you'll need to tread carefully through this terrain for that log you're looking at might actually be an alligator waiting to strike.
Mazare Jungle

GEOLOGY
★ Throughout Amani are a series of strange, surreal, and sometimes just downright weird rocks. With the addition of the mines, that's more true than ever!
★ With time, characters' influence may cause geology from home to begin to appear. These can be magical or not. All we ask for this is that players keep it reasonable. There suddenly won't be a whole new crystal tower or anything! Instead, more will generate gradually with time and stay in their respective biomes.

Dymuniad Mines
Hemimorphite
Population: Common
Biome: Dymuniad Mines
Danger: Mild
This strange, soft-looking rock formation draws people in with a sweet scent similar to cotton candy. The closer someone draws to it, the happier they will become. Should one lick it, they will find that it tastes rather sweet; however, it will leave one with more than a candy aftertaste. It is a psychedelic that will cause hallucinations - both visual and auditory - as well as intense feelings of euphoria.

Honey Calcite
Population: Common
Biome: Dymuniad Mines
Danger: Mild
If feeling one's way along the dark tunnels, don't be surprised if there comes a spot where you suddenly stick. Trying to pull away will only find one even more stuck than before. The only way to pull free is by using heat but too hot and it'll become a sticky, syrupy mess and be a nightmare to get off. The body heat of two people seems to be just right the temperature to free anyone stuck but... make of that what you will!

Iris Agate
Population: Common
Biome: Dymuniad Mines
Danger: None
If you get a little lost in the mines, don't fret! This stone will guide your way when shone under the light correctly. Oh, it won't show you the way out. Rather, it will guide you toward someone you need to talk to. Whatever that may mean! You'll be directed towards them whether you want to actually speak or not.

SUGGESTIONS
★ As characters begin to settle into Amani and engage in 'peaceful interactions' with others, please feel free to suggest flora and fauna from their home that you'd like to see appear!
★ While we would love to add things from canons not present in Amani (and there is the possibility through game events!), the nature of the game limits it to things that characters would be familiar with. Please keep this in mind when making suggestions!
