Your assumption is correct! Basically, the larger the ability the more chance it has for error i.e. glitching. He could try Call Odahviing but it's definitely not what he'd expect.

Since the ones that summon from afterlife planes would be technically reaching outside of the simulation, they likely wouldn't work; however, you are free to come up with other glitches or unexpected things that do occur instead!
