1. Yes, DTFs give a signal that can trace to the location of its user! While this feature can be toggled off, since DTFs are a reflection of one's soul and therefore have some autonomy... We leave it up to player discretion if this can glitch, etc.

2. Yes, one could hack their DTF to reroute or scramble pings if they don't want to be found.

3. Sub-accounts will always link back to the original user; since they're technically coded into the system themselves, it would be impossible to completely scrub traces of them from anything they create. However, they can make it difficult to trace and anonymous posting is absolutely allowed.

3a. Private encryptions are available and difficult to crack; however, we do leave this up to player discretion and communication of if a character has the skill to crack it, would they want to, etc. For the most part, the average person though would not be able to find out about private/locked communications.

4. Absolutely! This is something that one is able to do. They can make their DTFs do an annoying 'bing' sound with every alert, make squeaky toy noises instead of talk, etc. Locking them out wouldn't be entirely possible just because, again, it is technically a manifestation of one's soul. They'd be able to correct it... but it could be made difficult to and/or take some time!
